League Development Timeline
D1 college football players are now voting on key League design elements including player eligibility, health and safety rules, and profit sharing protocols.
The Players Football League is controlled by its players, including selection of the Commissioner and other League leaders in mid-2026
The League is accepting proposals from potential business partners for Broadcasting Agreements, Venue Agreements, and Team Branding Agreements
The League's exhibition season kicks off July 4, 2027 and concludes with an exhibition championship game on Sept 6, 2027 (Labor Day)
After the player draft in January 2028, the League's first full season kicks off Spring of 2028 with a championship game on Labor Day.
Agent Advisory Board
The Players Football League is creating a 12-member Advisory Board comprised of player representatives with extensive industry experience.
The Advisory Board submits formal recommendations to the players for their consideration on key issues in developing and operating the League.
